Independent learning

Independent learning is learning which is directed by ones self. It is purely defined, constructed and completed by the learner. Teachers may act as facilitators or give guidance, however the learner is guided to create there own path and trust their own decisions in order to complete tasks. Independent learning is also about finding and using resources correctly, this may be from other peers constructive criticism or research they have found on there own. It is about collecting our thoughts and understandings and applying them in order to achieve.

How am I going to achieve?

  •  I am going to conduct research by using my effective skills and methods including focus groups and analysis of data.
  • I am also going to create detailed and well thought out plan whilst involving appropriate creative skills and technical language.
  • I am then going to communicate in depth understanding of vital aspects of media including; key terms, codes and conventions.
  • I am going to use my analytical skills to deduct meaning.
  • I will construct a well organized and critical debate whilst cross linking other aspects of media.
  • I am going to ensure my writing is sophisticated in order to express my ideas in a coherent and concise way.
